Wardrobe Wednesday: Sunday Brunch

Its everyones favorite blog day of the week.. Wardrobe Wednesday!

Today I have a beautiful dress that I wore on Sunday to brunch with my pal. A quirk I have found in Houston, is that people actually cue for brunch. While we were waiting for our name to move up the list at Baby Barnabys, we went for a wee wander. Montrose is such a lovely neighborhood, it like, has such a personality and is so not stereotypical Houston. Love it.

What do you think? Do y'all do brunch.. would you cue for it? I personally don't dig it much, but Rob loves himself some waffles and french toast. Committing "carbocide". He was in such a sugar coma later haha, oh well, that is what cheat days are for right?!

Wardrobe Wednesday: Teaching with Dots

I had to teach today, and while I enjoy teaching - I was also a little nervous. A friend advised me that I should wear something awesome, so that if I messed up I would at least look fabulous!

And here is my dress! $3 from Value Village - can you believe it?! When I first got it, it was a little tight but now it is just right : )

OOTD - Meow!

Today I got to rock a dress that has been waiting patiently to make its debut. When I was getting dressed this morning, I yelled out to Rob,

"It's time!"

"What?"

"It's time." 

"Time for what?"

"Time for a cat dress!" And I sung and danced into the lounge meowing. 

"Cool." 

Haha so it's safe to say I was more excited than him. Anyway, here it is.

Today at work was super busy so these are all selfies y'all. My bad. But hey, a girls gotta get paid. I love the simplicity of this dress, and the fact that my bright and happy scarf is the main feature! I bought it a couple of years ago at FCUK and fell madly in love, convincing Rob that I just HAD to have it.

OOTD - my Dorothy dress

Today I am wearing a super cute vintage dress off Etsy. I got really lucky, the sleeves are a little big but otherwise it fits perfectly! I tried taking a couple of photos at work but as can be seen from the last couple of photos, I can't keep a straight face! After work, in between thunder storms we popped to target and Rob snapped a couple more for me.

I just wanted to shout out to everyone for the encouragement. I'm normally pretty self conscious, so putting pics up of full outfits is kind of intimidating. The thing is that I just love all my dresses and I want to share them with the world! Anyway, thanks for all the kind words! 

Okay so maybe I am getting better at this being sensible thing.

Nope, I am just about to lose it laughing.

Why is it easier to look serious when you are taking it yourself?

So a co worker asked me if my dress was scratch and sniff today lol.

I love this dress! I dread being normal or boring. And work in an industry where it is easy to forget you have a personality, but I am all about keeping mine intact. Polka dots help with that!

Keeping it real

As these new glasses inspire a new level of vanity in me - feeling the need to look into every shiny reflective surface I wander past. My husband, as usual, is keeping it real.

When I walked out of the "guest room" or rather, "my dressing room" as we don't really have guests here in Tejas...

Here I was thinking damn girl, cute dress, cute glasses...Go you.
Rob saw me and cracked up "You look like a hipster... but cute I guess".

Shopping - the way I deal with stress

Today was rough, but then it was great..

I have been wanting to get a pair of glasses from BonLook for so long! Today I finally took the step. I ordered these pretty things! I can't wait to get them in the mail and try them out. And, they are called "Honey Badger", which I think means that it was meant to be!
