Wardrobe Wednesday: The No Repeat Challenge!

Do you have clothes in your wardrobe with tags on them still?
Do you have stuff you haven't worn since you got it?
Do you literally not even remember when the last time you wore something was?

I do.
I do.
I do.

So, I am trying to wear EVERYTHING on my dress rack, and see how long I can go without a repeat!

I have made it my first four weeks back at work... and with that I thought I would celebrate and join up with my lovely lady friend Kimba Likes for Wardrobe Wednesday!

It has been too long!

Wardrobe Wednesday: Coral Crush with eShakti

I was very excited when eShakti contacted me about featuring a dress on the blog, because, lets face it, I have a dress obsession. And also, because I had actually just spent a bunch of time perusing their site and umming and ahhhing over ordering one. Perfect timing right!

I can't decide whether I want to go to a bridal shower, a tea party, a garden party or just shopping. I love the color, cut and wee stripes in this dress. Isn't it adorable?!

Have y'all heard of eShakti? I had heard of them, but didn't know how it all worked. Guys, they are so lovely to deal with. And I think they offer such an amazing service...
As a teenager and through uni, I worked in a department store. It always annoyed me that the clothes in the ladies plus size area were so not as nice as the range for smaller sizes. It bugged me and I just didn't think it was fair. Well, anyway, one of the things I love about these dresses is - all the dresses are available for the whole size range!

So many ladies have said to me that they would like to wear more dresses, but that they just can't find them to fit their proportions. Well - problem solved!
Big old booty and a tiny waist?
Lovely big tatas and a small bottom half?
You can actually give them your measurements and get the dress you want just right - for you!

And... to make the whole situation even more awesome...
The good people at eShakti have given me a coupon code for y'all to use on their site now! It is valid from today right up until the 2nd of July - so get shopping! You can use this code: ’thinkblues' (see the details down the bottom for terms and conditions).

Guys, these dresses are all so cute, I had a lot of trouble picking just one. Here are some of my other favorites..

Wardrobe Wednesday: Strawberry Shortcake

One of the great questions in life...
When is a strawberry festival not a strawberry festival?

Well, we found one on Sunday...

In place of strawberries there was a whole mess of bbq, a camel, some carnies, and one little goat who I fell in love with. I did manage to eat a couple of strawberries though. Thank goodness.

Here are some shots my lovely Liz got of me at the genuine wild west court marshall. This post was going to be in a field of strawberries haha, but you know, you work with what you have..

This dress is just so perfect for srawberries! I bought it at Retropolis on 19th St in the Heights. The hat is just a gem. I bought it yesterday at Style Cycle, also on 19th St. I tried it on as a joke, and then feel head over heels. Isn't it adorable!

Thanks for taking the photos Liz! xx

I am super happy to be hooking up with Kim for Wardrobe Wednesday.. thanks for having me love!

Wardrobe Wednesday: Fiesta San Antonio!

Let me start by saying... How freaking awesome is this dress? I squealed when I saw it in store, tried it on straight away, and I just think it is beautiful. I love when I get to wear it. At first, I was a little worried I would look like a big marshmallow in it, but the colors are just so beautiful, I don't even care! The wee red belt definitely stops it from billowing out to much. And you know what, sometimes it is kind of relaxing to wear such a loose fitting dress, especially in the Texas heat.

Rob snapped these photos one morning during Fiesta in San Antonio. We were heading out to breakfast, and then on to the Mexican markets. I just adore the riverwalk downtown, it feels like you are somewhere so different from Houston. The mix of the old stonewalls and buildings with the lush greenery is just so magical. I am definitely a fan!

Oh, and it is kind of a win when your tattoo matches your dress! Yuss!

Wardrobe Wednesday: San Antonio Sunshine

Good morning beautiful people. It's Wednesday! Which means I am sharing another dress with y'all.

I love this dress. Nearly a year ago I bought a black and white dress from Blackbird Trading on Westheimer in Houston. I loved it, as it was slightly longer, which made it a little more dressy, it fitted great and I am a polka dot fiend. A couple of months ago I bought another polka dot dress off of Ms Tips on Etsy. When it arrived I was super surprised to see it was the same dress but in another color. I have never had that happen with a vintage dress - even with a label. I was tickled pink as I adore the black one, and now I have a super sweet red one. Anyway, that is the tale behind this dress!

We stopped to grab these shots on the way from Houston to San Antonio over the weekend. We were on the look out for Bluebells, but getting out to stop for photos on the edge of a 75 mph highway where people are driving up to 100 mph did not seem wise. Fortunately we came across a rest area with some beautiful orange wildflowers, they were very sweet. Shockingly the locusts didn't bother me, but I was very much on the look out for rattlesnakes. My technique was stomping and yelling "meow meow meow" at the top of my lungs. Im pretty much a pro.

Enjoy x

Wardrobe Wednesday: Evening Stroll

You know how you can have those places, that you know of but either you forget they are so close or you keep putting off visiting? But then you visit and you are like, why didn't we come here months ago?

Last night we took a wander to a park next to the bayou. It was less than 15 minutes from our house and I think it's my new favorite spot.

It was epically windy but we grabbed some quick shots of a sweet wee sun dress I got from Old Navy this weekend past. I love strapless dresses in summer. They remind me of summers in Perth, barbecues, cold beer, parties, concerts, picnics. All the good things about summer!

I got a few but this is my favorite pattern. And, I have been in pants all week for field trips so I am loving slipping into one after work!

Here are a couple of shots!

Isn't it sweet! I adore it, and so sweet and summery!

Also, this guy - I love him!

Wardrobe Wednesday: Marie Claire Shoot

This is an exciting edition of Wardrobe Wednesday y'all.

First of all - don't forget that giveaway for a Modcloth gift card... $100 to spend - woohoo!

Secondly, I bought this dress recently of Etsy. I had fallen in love with it a week or two before, and in a moment of dress lust, pressed confirm in my cart. And you know what? It is just so freaking adorable. When it turned up at work I literally jumped up and down (scientists huh?).

Thirdly, recently I was contacted by the lovely people at Marie Claire about being part of a Street Style shoot in Houston. I was excited (read freaking out) and faced what would be quite the challenge. Choosing a dress. Haha if you know my daily dress indecision I am sure you can imagine that it was a little tough choosing "the one". When I asked Rob what he thought, his first idea was this one, and it was mine too. So I figured that was a good sign. I don't know how "chic" the dress is, but it is very me, it is vintage, I love how cute it is, and nautical style never really goes out of style does it?

Anyway, here are some shots of my outfit for the day!

Dress: Old Faithful Vintage (Etsy)
Cardigan: Zara (Houston, TX)
