Pop Shop - Oh Houston - I am jealous!

Houstonians!

Have you ever been to a Pop Shop event?

I LOVE THEM. I always find a new maker or store that I love!

I have found amazing bargains, cute dresses, yummy food and great music at the ones I have been to. I am so gutted we aren't in Houston anymore to go to the festival next month!

There will be music and over 90 local makers!
You can make your own flower crown and shake your butt to music and well, it just sounds like a blast!

And how cute is this poster?!

Wardrobe Wednesday: Strawberry Shortcake

One of the great questions in life...
When is a strawberry festival not a strawberry festival?

Well, we found one on Sunday...

In place of strawberries there was a whole mess of bbq, a camel, some carnies, and one little goat who I fell in love with. I did manage to eat a couple of strawberries though. Thank goodness.

Here are some shots my lovely Liz got of me at the genuine wild west court marshall. This post was going to be in a field of strawberries haha, but you know, you work with what you have..

This dress is just so perfect for srawberries! I bought it at Retropolis on 19th St in the Heights. The hat is just a gem. I bought it yesterday at Style Cycle, also on 19th St. I tried it on as a joke, and then feel head over heels. Isn't it adorable!

Wardrobe Wednesday - Green and Spotty

So one of my goals for this year is to do one wardrobe post a week... I started doing them last year and I just lost time.. I want to make an effort to get away from my rushed and grainy staff room pics haha. Well here is one we took just before we left for home last year.

The dress is one of my best deals ever. I got it for a couple of dollars at the Value Village on 23rd in the Heights. And I just LOVE it. The shoulders are a little crazy but with a blazer they are totally dampened. I love the green polka dots and the sweet frill on the wrap edge. I hardly ever like wrap dresses but I adore this one!

Thrifting in Houston

We are doing the Color Run tomorrow so we took a trip to the thrift store to get some goofy running clothes...

Of course I took the opportunity to go on a mini thrift spree. As usual thrifting in America provided me with many bargains.. Can't wait to share all my pretty pieces but here are a few pics in the mean time! 

And yes, there are a few selfies in the lot :p 

Confession - I like shoulder pads. And I love pink. And I love a $3.90 bargain!

I get a buzz from thrift shopping. I admit it.

I think this dress was $4.. It is absolutely perfect (I love me some polka dot action).

This maxi dress was $7 (pricey! haha) - it is dark red and maroon, in the store I was picturing it with my leather jacket - and I am happy with the result!

Just got this out of the drier.. The jersey was $3 and the infinity scarf was $1.

Self indulgent iPhone selfie. Damn I love that scarf.

Can't wait to share photos from the color run tomorrow! I have the daggiest outfit haha
