We took these photos on our first trip back to New Zealand in October 2009. We ferried out to Waiheke Island across the Hauraki Gulf, to visit with my Grandad. Isn't it such a stunning place?!

Travel Thursday: Roadside Spot - New Zealand
I just love the beautiful cliffs around the Waikato. The Hinuera Formation sits prominently along so many hills. I just want to explore whenever I see them! Here are a few shots I took while we were driving to Taupo in December 2013.

Travel Thursday: Karangahake Gorge, New Zealand
Welcome to a beautiful little bit of paradise in New Zealand. This is a wee spot we stopped at on a road trip in New Zealand in January 2014. The road freaked me way out, but hey, it was so worth it. Stunning. In fact, I want to go back and swim!

Travel Thursday: Lake Geneva
Last November Rob and I took a train down to Geneva from Paris. Just a wee day trip, but oh, it was so lovely. The train ride was the most beautiful thing - we spent most of the time climbing through autumn leaves and then even further up into snow covered trees and mountains. It was just stunning.
The day itself was very brisk, but we walked for hours and had lots of hot chocolate to warm us. At the end of the day we took a cruise on the lake and got some views of stunning properties. It was very cloudy, but just before we hopped back on the train it started to lift a little and we got some views of the flanks of Mt Blanc. Which, being thje rock geek I am I was most excited about.
Here are some pictures of our views of the lake... Enjoy!
Makes me smile but also shiver looking back at these. But wow, such a beautiful place. I love how the architecture combined with the the cloudy day seems almost baroque style. Anyway, we had a lovely day. I am excited to share it with you.
And, if you have been around these parts for awhile, you will know that Travel Thursday is all about sharing your memories, near or far! So come hang out with Laurie and I and get sharing!!
