Throwback Thursday - Birthdays past

Todays Thowback is all about me. Wow. I sound awesome.

Actually, its not all about me. It is my birthday month, and so all week I have been looking back at old photos from birthdays past. One thing with being an expat, is that the hardest times to be away is on special occasions, like a birthday. But, I have to say, that in each new place we settle I have been blessed with amazing friends who have become extensions of my family.

Thanks to all my people.
Love you and miss you

Throwback Thursday - miss my wifey

This weeks Throwback Thursday is to 10 months ago.. When Liz and I knew that my leaving date was coming up soon. During my last few months in Perth we used our time to the maximum. Any evening we could go for champagne in the sun, we did. And weekend day we could spend shopping we did. And any brie we could eat we did. And I am so glad. Because we had so much fun.

This week all I wanted, was to be back in Liz's car singing Lana Del Rey at the top of my tone deaf voice, driving to get hangover Nandos.
Lol.
Mahony - I miss the shit out of you!

Throwback Thursday - Philskis Birthday

Last night the universe had its timing just right and we got to facetime two of our favorite people in the world, and meet their new little man!

The time difference between our original home - New Zealand, our last home - Perth, and our current home - Houston, means that normally when we are getting ready for bed, Perthy people are getting ready for work, and Kiwi people are at work.. So it can be difficult to schedule skyping.. But every now and then you get a window of awesomeness where we can talk to our loved ones. Which makes me happy.

Here are three of my favorite photos with Charlie, Phil and us from our time in Perth..
Phil had the best birthday party. The theme was PB (for his name).
We went as Pebbles and Bam Bam. Charlie was a Pavlova.
There were very attractive Bananas, a kiwi hero and a pretty sweet rag doll. As well as many other mental characters.

We miss you guys, was so good to catch up. Forever love to you guys. xx

Throwback Thursday - Happy Anniversary my Love!

On my 21st birthday.

Nearly nine years ago I met my future. He was sitting in the back of my best friends car. I said hi. He said hey. And that was all it took.

Twelve months ago on Saturday, Rob and I walked into a registry office in Perth. Nervous and giggling. We were accompanied by 6 of our friends.

We walked in Boyfriend and Girlfriend and walked out Man and Wife.

For us, having the small registry wedding day was so special, because it was legalizing a bond we have had and felt for so long. Then in January our second day was so, so important to us, because friends and family are the most important things in our lives, and that made things really "official". And two wedding days is pretty awesome.
"I Do"

"I Do", version two. I love this photo.

I feel so lucky to get to spend my life with such a smart, funny, stone cold fox. To have someone that just gets you, and even more loves what "you" are, is pretty rad.

Thanks for an amazing first year. You complete me badgie.

Here are a few of my favorite couple shots. Look out for a post I am putting together on Saturday for photos from our wedding day.

At a ball. We were a fifties couple.

Throwback Thursday - Brown Fox

This post was inspired by a photo a minx like friend of mine posted on facebook this week. It made me really wish for a night back at The Brown Fox in West Perth.

Sangria. Oh how good that Sangria is. Great New Zealand beer. Amazing nibbles. And the best Aioli in Perth.

Not to mention amazing people.
Not to mention a wedding celebration there (photos might appear next month).. Here are some of my favorite snaps of general fun at The Brown Fox.

Miss all you cool people xo
